Eat.Sleep.Do. is deliberately sparing with cookies. We set only what the site needs to work: your language choice, and a login session if you sign in as a business owner. Our statistics are measured without cookies. We set no advertising or tracking cookies.
The only outside party that can place anything on your device through this site is Google Maps, and only after you open the map yourself. If you don't, the two cookies above are all there is.
For the data we process beyond this — for example when you leave an experience or claim a listing — see our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They make a site work properly, and can also be used to measure how it is used. Alongside cookies, some services use comparable techniques (such as local storage); where we write “cookies”, we mean those techniques too.
Necessary cookies (always active)
These are needed for the site to work. You cannot switch them off, and no consent is required for them.
Language choice. Remembers which language we showed you the site in, so you arrive there again next time. This is a session cookie: it disappears as soon as you close your browser.
Login session. Only when you sign in as a business owner. Keeps you signed in while you move around your dashboard, and expires automatically afterwards. If you browse the guide without signing in, this cookie does not exist.
Statistics — without cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are viewed, and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load. Neither sets cookies, and neither requires consent.
Visitors are distinguished by a temporary code calculated from the request itself — nothing is placed on your device. That code is discarded after 24 hours. The speed measurements are anonymous and tied to neither a visitor nor an IP address.
We do not follow you across other websites, and we do not use this data to build a profile of you.
On a business page you can open a Google Maps map. That map is not loaded automatically: you first see a button (“Show map”). Only when you click it do we load Google's map — and only at that moment can Google set cookies from the embedded map.
So you decide for yourself whether you use Google Maps. If you don't open the map, no Google Maps cookies are set. Google's terms and privacy policy apply to your use of Google Maps.
You can also click “Route” to open directions in Google Maps. That is an ordinary link which does nothing until you click it; you are then taken to Google Maps, and your starting location is shared with Google to calculate the route.
| Category | What | Cookie? | How long? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Language choice | Yes | Until you close your browser |
| Necessary | Login session (business owners only) | Yes | For as long as you are signed in |
| Statistics | Vercel Web Analytics | No | Temporary code, discarded after 24 hours |
| Statistics | Vercel Speed Insights | No | Anonymous, not tied to a visitor |
| Embedded map | Google Maps — only after “Show map” | Yes, only after your click | Determined by Google |
You can always manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you have opened a map and want to be rid of Google's cookies, delete them there; if you open no further maps, they do not come back.
Because we set no tracking or advertising cookies and our statistics work without them, no cookie banner is needed.
We may update this cookie policy when we add or remove services or techniques. If we ever add cookies that do require consent (for advertising, for example), we will ask for it beforehand. The current version is always on this page. Questions? Email hello@eatsleepdo.com.
