Eat.Sleep.Do. is a trading name of Marai Digital, a sole proprietorship at Warmoesstraat 33, 1791 CN Den Burg (Texel), the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 96093706. Contact: hello@eatsleepdo.com.
These terms apply to your use of the platform at eatsleepdo.com: browsing the guide, leaving an experience, and claiming and managing a listing.
Eat.Sleep.Do. is a local discovery platform showing businesses (restaurants, accommodation, activities) ranked by our own reputation score. That score is a measure we calculate ourselves, supported in part by public reputation sources, including Google.
Ranking in the guide is merit-based: positions follow from the reputation score and are not for sale. We offer no paid placements within the ranking.
A business owner can create a free account and claim their business's listing. By submitting a claim:
An approved claim gives you access to a dashboard where you can manage your own business details (such as website, phone, address and photos). The business name and the reputation score are managed by us and are not editable.
Through an invitation or link from a business you can leave an experience: a rating from 1 to 5 with a note, and at some businesses a video.
What you share is public. An experience you submit is shown with your name alongside it, on Eat.Sleep.Do. and on the business's own website. We do not filter on whether an experience is favourable or unfavourable, and a business cannot edit, hide or have removed an experience about itself.
What exactly you are consenting to is set out in the text beside the checkbox on the form itself. We store that text with each experience, exactly as you saw it. Consent for marketing use is a separate, optional choice: if you do not give it, your experience is published all the same and nothing changes about how it is shown. A business may reply publicly to an experience on its own listing. Such a reply can be revised later but not deleted: a business can change what it said, not that it replied.
We remove an experience only for reasons of content — spam, abuse, or unlawful material. Never because the content is unfavourable.
The platform shows reputation information from Google (ratings, reviews) and a Google Maps map. By using the platform you are using Google Maps/Google Places, and Google's terms also apply: Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Google data is fetched live and shown with the required attribution. The Eat.Sleep.Do. reputation score is our own, self-calculated measure and not a copy of a Google rating.
When using the platform:
If you come across unlawful content on the platform, please report it to hello@eatsleepdo.com. We may remove content that is unlawful or in breach of these terms.
We may refuse, suspend or terminate an account or claim in cases of misuse or breach of these terms.
We do our best to keep the platform available and accurate, but give no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or of the accuracy of third-party reputation information (such as Google's). To the extent permitted by law our liability is limited; we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Dutch law.
The name Eat.Sleep.Do., the logo, the design and the reputation score are the property of Marai Digital. You may not use them without permission.
What you upload as a business owner — business details and photos — remains yours. By uploading it you declare that you are entitled to do so, and give us permission to show it on Eat.Sleep.Do.
What you share as a visitor — your experience, its text and any video — likewise remains yours; we claim no ownership of it. What we may do with it follows from the consent you gave when submitting it, which we store with each experience, and not from these terms. Marketing use requires the separate, optional consent; without it neither we nor the business use your experience for that purpose.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
