Nice beers and free freshly smoked fishes 👍 for beer tour you should buy tickets one day earlier, but for pub it is easier to find space
super nice staff - came by and gave us a spontaneous portion of bitterballen even though we just made a joke about wanting some. Great beer - lovely energy
Great experience at the brewery learnt about their ocean aged gin which we also could try. Lovely to hear how it's made and the brewer spoke good English and explained and showed everything in a brilliant manner. You can buy souvenirs too. The tour of the brewery took around 1 hr but I personally loved. Could take the drinks and sit either inside or outside and it was a really great atmosphere.
A bit on the outskirts of the city but easy to get to via bicycle. On a late Saturday afternoon it was quite busy but we were able to find a spot outside on the end of one of the benches. I think inside was only reserved for tours and food, not sure but we were just told to go outside. Anyways we did the 3 different flights of beer. Started off with the 1st one (Zeebries Blond, Vuurbaak and Tuunwal Tripel) and the 2nd one (Skiller Wit, Springtij and Noorderwiend). We also tried the 3rd flight which was Geheim Proeverij (Zonnig, Stout and Passie). Out of all the beers we tried, I really enjoyed the Skiller Wit and Vuurbaak. Then I got one large glass of Goudkoppe. This ended up being my favorite beer. Beer was solid, nice place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The shop was really nice as well, had lots of things to purchase.
I expected to find a crowded place since I chose to visit on a Saturday afternoon, but I was disappointed with the service provided. There are two areas (indoor and outdoor), and when we tried to place our order at the indoor counter where we were seated, the attendant asked us to go to the outdoor counter. When we got to the outdoor counter, we ordered the beers, but when we tried to order some snacks, the second attendant informed us that they weren't taking any orders from the kitchen because there was a large group at a table that needed to be served (?) In the end, we stayed there for less than 30 minutes and then returned to the city center, where you can find quieter places to eat and order Texel beer, which is very good, by the way. I hope this was just an exception and not the usual service offered. In summary, there are positive aspects to visiting the place, especially if you are a beer enthusiast looking to experience it straight from the "source."
