Hotel Het Uilenbos

Everything was great, location, staff, breakfast. Its a clean hotel and the staff are always ready to help make your stay great. For a summer location the only challenge was trying to sleep without aircon.

My girlfriend and I visited during New Year. The place was cozy and made you feel like you were visiting your grandparents. The staff is very kind and during the morning you can choose from a nice variety of delicious food. It was also close to highlights in the area. Highly recommended 🖼️👍

I arrived at this hotel by mistake (wrong door number), and after my terrible experience, I'm very glad this was the wrong hotel after the extremely unpleasant 'welcome' by the owner (an old man) who started by saying I'm late (at 10pm). I then realised I was at the wrong place, said goodbye, and left. I went back to my car (which was into the car park) with my wife and young son, and the owner started chasing and shouting at us. It seemed he thought we were going to steal a car or something. I explained we had parked in the hotel car park and were just returning to our car. However, he became extremely abusive and accused us of trespassing. Even his own wife came out and told him he's wrong. Yet he continued to hurl abuse at me and my family, and threatened to call the police. I was wearing a basketball jacket and running trainers, so I'm not sure if he thought I was some dodgy criminal. But he was very offensive and unpleasant, and left me and my family feeling very distressed. I am glad this was the wrong hotel, and I would not recommend anyone stay there if they want a warm welcome and a pleasant environment to stay in. A very disgusting man indeed.

Very good location. Bit overpriced (almost €200 for on onenight - family of 4). Very simple breakfast with no fresh fruit.

a very enjoyable stay, thanks to the helpful staff. we were picked up at the ferry dock and driven right to the hotel, with the added bonus of having a couple of "points of interest" pointed out to us along the way. hotel staff also arranged for us to be picked up at the hotel by the tour we were taking through the dunes. will definitely stay there if i visit Texel again.
