Sooner or later, I had to visit the Van der Valk Hotel on Texel and book it for lunch and/or dinner, an overnight stay, and breakfast. Upon arriving on Texel, I drove straight to the hotel (plenty of free parking). My room wasn't ready yet, as expected (lunchtime), so it was time for my favorite hot lunch. After lunch, I was able to check in a little earlier than the official published time, with a friendly and helpful receptionist. My room, on the second floor, was accessible by elevator. In my room, I found a small tablet with a welcome message. Hotel information can be found there. I was already familiar with the information from studying the website. In my room, with a comfortable double bed, shower, and toilet, I also saw coffee and tea facilities, a mini-fridge/mini-bar (not stocked), a safe, and a hairdryer. There is also a sitting area for two. There are plenty of electrical outlets by the bed and throughout the room. There's also a TV that can be viewed from the bed. The lighting in the room is also excellent. Breakfast is still to come, and I'm confident that it's also well-organized according to Van der Valk standards.

Great experience! The rooms are spacious , modern and the shower is awesome as well. The breakfast buffet was generous, plenty of choice. The bacon was crispy as it should be and there's a wide selection of jams and cheese. There's a room at the back of the hotel to leave your bike inside.

There’s rooms in the hotel that are decent, but they also rent out private apartments without bedding and towels. We paid 120€ for some linen and towels. Some of the hotel staff are extremely rude, whereas others are very friendly. I ordered a cocktail at the hotelbar at 11:20, 40 minutes before closing time, this made the bartender sigh in my face. Reception closest at 10, afterwards it’s a survival of the fittest. I have lived in a Van der Valk for a couple of months, this has nothing to do with the chain and should be avoided at all costs.

We stayed for one night. Very welcoming staff, spacious room, great bathroom, quiet place and excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for Valentine’s Day and had a two-night dinner experience. The food was good, but the service was very slow—we waited nearly an hour to be served. The room was spacious, but the coffee machine was dusty and dirty. The bed had a lot of hairs on it, which was disappointing, though it was still comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Overall, the stay had both positives and negatives, but cleanliness and service could be improved
