De Smulpot

Friendly staff, fresh and high quality food. One of the places in Texel that year after year for over 30 years for me personally keeps up his name and fame. Quality is always the same high level, friendlyness as well. A gastronomical statue in the middle of the island's main city.

car free area so expect to walk , smulburger... avoid , mediocre quality ( probably frozen) , decent Frites though, take some lamb , plenty on the island so cant go wrong on that. the room.... lets say the blooddy airco had a life on its own even when turned off itvkept making noises and waking me up every HOUR!!!! brring for whatever reason, really horrible night.

5 stars isn’t enough. We were greeted at the door like family members, the dinner was amazing, the breakfast was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced- they laid out a whole spread of pastries, fruit, yogurt and eggs and it’s ready at your table when you come down from your room. The staff is the friendliest in town. Couldn’t recommend the Smulpot enough

Excellent, excellent, excellent. The restaurant is incredible and the guest accommodations are beautiful. The breakfast for hotel guests is the best we ever had. We absolutely loved our stay here at De Smulpot. What an amazing place to stay as we introduced ourselves to Texel.

Delightfully personal warm & friendly welcome with nice touches such as a hand written welcoming note. Stylish appointed room with every convenience and sophisticated lighting. Super rain head shower and heated lit mirrors. Delicious food piping hot, attentive service, nothing too much trouble. Buzzing restaurant with a good atmosphere.
