Grandcafé Raaks

Raaks is a popular and cozy place known for its all-day service—from breakfast to dinner—featuring a varied menu of fresh fish, meat, and vegetarian options, often using local Texel ingredients. The biggest draw is its spacious and sunny terrace, often cited as the perfect spot in Den Burg to relax, enjoy local Texel beers, and soak up the atmosphere.

A nice café in the center of Den Burg. The interior is well-decorated, and outside there are plenty of sunny spots. We ordered breakfast and it was really delicious!

I went there in Texel yesterday. I ordered a piece of apple pie, hot chocolate, and coffee. The drinks were reasonably priced, but the apple pie wasn’t warm or freshly made so a bit disappointed. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and they spoke English well. The atmosphere was a nice spot to chill.

Excellent service, warm and friendly staffs. Great ambiance also for the restaurant. Beautiful terras with modern style restaurant. Toilet is also clean and nice!

Great grand café in the center of Den Burg. A comfortable terrace with sun all day around, a simple yet very good menu for lunch and bites, and the most friendly owner! Definitely worth a visit when you're on the Island of Texel.
