Public Grill in Den Burg (Texel) is a cozy, family-run American-style steakhouse known for its hearty portions and value. Going out for dinner is more than just food on the table. You need ambiance, atmosphere and of course good food. This is such a location. 90% of Texel's restaurants have the same food. Sate, burger ,spareribs,fish. But not this place. Sure it has spareribs but also 450gram T-bone steak. Real meat. Grilled. And your portions are more than enough. But it has something extra. This place is run by a family and everyone is helping. They take the time to talk to you. To tell about the place (it's from 2014 ,but you would never tell. It looks great!) Just informal talk. (They have an art exposition on the top floor, how cool is that). Eating here (especially when you're early can give you the feeling you're part of the island family. All in all absolutely a place to visit.

This place is a perfect combination of delicious, well-portioned food, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere. After a long day of cycling around the island, we stopped for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered two burgers — one rib burger and one “Rocky Burger” — both served with fries and salad. We received our dishes quickly, with crispy fries and fresh vegetables. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Highly reccomend! The service was excellent. Food was great too. The meats were all perfectly cooked and very tasty. Price to quality ratio is excellent.

Great place, a lot of good service. Food was great and a LOT aswell for the small prices. Service kept coming to ask how the food was and made a little talk with us frequently, it was great. Really cool american style grill place, interior looks amazing and cozy. Definitely coming here again!
