Strends End

Looking for a gluten free place to dine, we arrived around dinner time there, the restaurant still 1/4th empty. We were told by a very young waitress that they are fully booked and that it’s not possible to eat there, even though they were the only gluten free place listed on the map. We asked again if they can maybe make an exception in this case but then we were rudely told by a young waitress with a smirk on her face to “go have a salad or whatever somewhere else”. A two hours later walked past the same place and it was all empty besides one table. What a terrible experience.

At lunchtime I went to my all-time favorite hot menu: Bread with fried egg, ham and cheese. With a Coke on the side. The staff was nice and helpful

Great apple pies and Lavazza coffee. We will be happily back.

Their waffles with strawberries and cream are scrumptious. Perfect spot for a stop during a cycle tour. Recommended.
