Taj Mahal

Indian food is good. You don’t expect such a restaurant at Texel. But there it is. We’ve eaten there a few times during the last year and is really good. When you travel with vegetarian friends/family, there is enough choice to share with everyone. As a non-vegetarian I do still order one side dish, share with others, and enjoy the rest veggie dishes. So whatever you order, it is delicious. As a family, I really can recommend the restaurant. Just try it!

I ordered food which was sounded great on the menu, but the taste was completely off. It was far too blend and the spice overwhelmed any other flavors. The ingredients didn’t work well together, making each bite more confusing than satisfying. Seriously annoying…to be honest nothing close to Indian cuisine It’s a shame because the presentation was nice, but unfortunately, taste is what matters most.

For my upcoming stay on my favorite island I am already looking at what I could order, with a minimum order cost of €35.00 to start with this is already much higher than my intended budget for 1 person. Also the delivery costs of €5.00 is much more than I would pay for the short distance Restaurant Hotel. I might consider pick up, but the mixed reviews do not convince me yet.

Food was ok. Very nice and good was the support service - we asked for vegan option and they offered 2 starters and 2 main dishes.

Very good Indian food for very reasonable prices. Very friendly staff!! We had the lamb vindaloo (very spicy as it should be, to die for) and the chicken tandoori (go for the plate with the bones and not just the chicken breast) and a few Indian beers to cool off.
