Texel Treasures

Beautiful house...lovely location! Neat and clean! Parking space a bit cramped...and lots of windows in the house which meant it got hot inside quickly, and no air conditioning. There was a sort of cooling system but it didn't work adequately. What we didn't like was the fact that we were busy loading our suitcases to the parking lot with a trolley...but the cleaning staff had already placed the trolley in front of the house's exit at 9:40 AM! Even though you have until 10:00 AM to check out! This gave a "rushed" feeling and the (Polish) staff understands almost no English. Just give people an extra half hour, e.g., until 10:30 AM. Because this is unpleasant and a shame, as the rest is good!

A beautiful, spotlessly clean cottage with every comfort. A warm welcome with delicious fudge, scented sticks, a coffee kit, and supplies for the Nespresso machine, dishwasher, and dishes. A well-maintained house, warm, modernly furnished, and pleasantly lit. You immediately feel at home. And after a pleasant chat with the owner, we were allowed to take our time checking out on the last day so our elderly mother didn't have to rush. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Ons verblijf in huisje 8A op de Bleekersvallei verliep dit jaar met gemengde gevoelens. Voor de tweede keer verbleven wij hier en opnieuw hing er een onaangename lucht in één van de badkamers. Na melding kwam er binnen 15 minuten iemand langs, wat wij als snelle en goede service waarderen. Verder waren er meerdere punten van teleurstelling. Er was dit jaar geen welkomstpakket aanwezig (met o.a. afwasborsteltje, vaatdoekje en vaatwastabletten). Ook ontbraken zeepjes, shampoo en conditioner in de badkamers, waardoor direct boodschappen gedaan moesten worden. Dit was vorig jaar anders en daarom tegenvallend. Daarnaast kwamen drie schroeven van de schuifdeur in de woonkamer los, waardoor de deur half losstond van de muur. Met een baby van 9 maanden was dit een gevaarlijke situatie. Ondanks melding is er geen reparatie uitgevoerd. Dit zorgde voor ongemak, zeker gezien het slechte weer waardoor veel tijd binnen werd doorgebracht. Tot slot: op onze mails met klachten is geen reactie gekomen. Het uitblijven van communicatie maakt de ervaring extra negatief. Op basis hiervan kunnen wij Texel Treasures helaas niet aanbevelen.

Beautiful house opposite the white church in Den Hoorn. Unfortunately, it was downright filthy! I have never experienced anything like it. Dirty toilets and bathroom, dirty kitchen, not vacuumed or mopped, pedal bin not emptied and filthy, a cloud of fruit flies came out of it. And so on. Naturally, the holiday mood went down to zero immediately. We ended up scrubbing and cleaning ourselves. The handling of the complaints was extremely minimal. Never again with this landlord for us.

The houses are large and spacious. The parking lot, however, is rather small. The location by the forest is beautiful.
