Top holiday home with everything you need at a good price. Fenced garden and dogs are welcome. Treats provided upon arrival.

We stayed in Stud Farm C65, an apartment at the back of De Cocksdorp. It's located on the stud farm's grounds and is attached to the main house/yard. From the outside, it doesn't look very attractive, but inside it's very well-maintained and beautifully clean. Beds are made, and a towel set is provided. There's a terrace where you can relax and sit, and it's partially enclosed. You can request a low gate at reception for a fully enclosed terrace. They're happy to help. You can hear the traffic on the street in front. The location is close to the town center, convenient for shopping, etc. You're not bothered by the town center, but you can get there quickly. The apartment offers plenty of comfort, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and comfortable beds with nice furniture. The beds are also comfortable, and the bedrooms have mosquito screens in the windows. There's also one in the living room. The garden door doesn't have a mosquito screen. These screens are very helpful, as there are a lot of flies (due to the horses on the property). Your dog is welcome. Be careful, though, because the residents have dogs of their own, and they often (but not always) let them run around the property. The children also regularly play soccer on the property. I didn't experience any problems with this. There's a storage unit next to the apartment, so you do hear some cars driving back and forth and dropping off and picking up storage. Otherwise, you have complete privacy here and no interaction with the residents. They greet you warmly. You can also quickly reach the sea. The beach is a bit further away (just a 5-minute drive), but the sea with its beautiful viewpoint is close by and within walking distance.

This year, in the month of March, I stayed for the second time at Van der Linde Vakanties’ Buytenveldt park. What a beautiful, spacious, and luxurious bungalow. Okay, the bungalows aren't cheap, but you really do get ‘value for money’. Fully equipped: open fireplace (see-through), dishwasher, washer-dryer combination, 3 bedrooms with private bathroom and toilet, sauna, Turkish steam bath, jacuzzi, large garden with terrace. And if you rent bicycles (electric bikes are highly recommended), you get a discount at Fietsen op Texel (also from Van der Linde).

The 3 year old villas Buytenveldt are a rare gem on there island. Spacious, luxurious (spa bathroom), overlooking a field/forest but still walking distance to a supermarket.
